First of all, make sure to take the salt off the pretzel. Reason: Rats only sweat through the soles of their feet and very little at that, so when you give them more salt, or I guess extra salt, they have more salt in them and that's not genuinely healthy for them.
And second of all, you don't want to give them too much. Make sure you don't over feed them with pretzels. I have to be careful because Dubs will just constantly come back to me asking for more. At least I know he loves them!! 😊
Most definitely. Rats like just about everything, and a pretzel is quite a good little chew toy for them. This should be a treat, however, as they tend to be quite salty and that in excess is not good for them.
No your puppy will get sick and have to go to the vet..
Probably they can
Well my pet rat loves sliced red apples but i only give it to him once a week, and you can also give them dried banana chips. WARNING never give them lettuce as it will give them diorhia.
You can get a pet rat from most pet stores.
I don't have a pet rat!
Emily Carr had one pet rat.
You can give it a piece of cheese to snack on. Honestly I don't think cheese is the best snack for a rat. I'd rather give it yogurt or sunflower seeds. That is what I always give my rat to snack on. So i guess you can try all three yogurt , cheese , and sunflower seeds and see what it likes.
a pet rat can have many health problems my rat actually died from upper respiratory infection
African Pouched Rat.
I think it is not the best idea to have it as a pet, but if you were a really crazy person who would have a snake as a pet you would keep that rat thingy. but anyway a mole rat, my answer would be NO!
Abraham Lincoln had a lot of pets, and some were unusual pets but he did not have a pet rat.
You either ask her nicely if she'll share them with you or offer to buy one. If they are her pets and she loves them why would she give them away? Maybe you could save up and buy your own pet rat if you are mature enough to care for one. You sound young so maybe you should ask your parents if they think you are ready for a pet rat.
You can leave your pet rat alone for 2 days but it is not advisable; attention is key.
