yes You can
Yes, the Moshi Monsters movie will work on an American DVD player as long as it has a region code of "1". All DVD's and DVD players sold in the USA and Canada have a region code of "1".
No I wish it was, I love this movie
I'm sorry but it cannot. If you bought your PS3 in the US, you can only play DVD and Blu-ray movies that are from this region (region 1 for DVD and A for Blu-ray). What I suggest you do (this is what I do) is download Shrink DVD (freeware..just google it), make a backup of you DVD movie (Shrink DVD automatically removes the region protection) and burn it. Then you can play the copy on your PS3. Hope this helps...
it's already out. love that movie!!
America belongs to DVD Region 1
A one code DVD is region locked and cannot be played outside of whatever region it has been locked in. A multi region DVD is not region locked and can be used anywhere.
A commercial DVD purchased in the US cannot be played on a regular DVD player in Europe because of region coding. Major movie studios around the world have forced this coding on discs to allow the studios to release the movie in different countries at different times. If you burn the DVD yourself, your software may allow you to select the region coding for the new disc. You could then allow it to be played anywhere. A DVD player know as a 'region-free' player would allow any disc to be played.
