Yes you actually can not to him of course but if he uses a certain cologne or soap you might be allergic to it or you could possibly have sensitive skin which causes the sweat glands to get inflamed and cause a rash look on the skin surface

I have the very same problem with my husband. Because we use the same products on our faces, it must not be a reaction to those types of things. I do notice that the length of the beard makes a significant difference in the amount of irritation I experience. 2-3 days growth, is the worst. A full and soft beard doesn't seem to irritate my skin at all. Otherwise, my only remedy from the bumps and severe itching is cotizone cream. Hope that helps!

As a practicing allergist I have encountered many patients who are allergic to another person's saliva, semen and perspiration. One orthopedic specialist had cardiac arrythymia when he was physically contacted by his wife, while this might not be classified as an allergy it certainly manifested itself as such, and was successfully corrected.

Yes, in a sense. A human can be allergic to the soap a person uses, or a shampoo, deodorant, cologne or other substance they use, and they can also be allergic to the fabric of the person's clothes. But actually allergic to the human him/herself, not that I know of. Even a cleaning supply that the person uses can be something that another person reacts to, if it is on his/her skin or clothing. There are many substances that cause Allergies, it might be a good idea to be tested if you are having a problem.

Hi,

What Causes Allergy?

Allergies are caused by an over-sensitive immune system that mistakenly identifies generally harmless substances as harmful invaders and attacks them. It is not known why some people develop over-sensitive immune systems but the following factors seem to play a role:

  • Hereditary Predisposition: There is a strong genetic link in the development of allergies. Parents with allergies have a higher risk of having children with allergies. Predisposition to an allergy is called atopy
  • Age: Allergies are more likely to develop during childhood and tend to get better or disappear in adulthood
  • Asthma: People with Asthma are at an increased risk of developing an allergy
  • Environmental Factors: Increasing global pollution, exposure to industrial and household chemicals and growing up in a house with smokers increases the risk of a child developing an allergy
  • Medications: There appears to be a link between the use of antibiotics in childhood and developing allergies

How is allergy diagnosed?

  • Family history and physical examination
  • Skin prick test to identify potential allergens
  • A blood test called a radio-allergo-sorbent test (RAST) measures the amount of IgE antibody in the blood and the immune system's response to specific allergens
  • A skin patch test can be performed to identify allergens causing eczema
So I think the answer to you question would be No.

Yes. You can. It's surprising, most people dont think so. My dad had this indian girlfriend and every time they kissed, his throat closed up. He finally got a test or something and it turns out he's allergic to indian people. The same happened to nother girl he dated with black hair and white skin. She was something and Irish. I think it was black-Irish. Not sure.

I know it's weird. But, i swear, I'm telling you what my father told me and what i've heard.
