Make sure it is in fact a birthmark and not something malignant like skin cancer. If it is frequently exposed to the sun, I wouldn't recommend it as if it became covered you may not realize that something is wrong. Answer I have a koi tattoo on my arm going over a small birthmark i had, its right by the eye of the koi but is still just as visible as it was before the tattooo although now it just looks like it was intentionally put there, a dark color may cover it but if its a lighter color than your birthmark it will show right through

∙ 16y agoYes, you can get a tattoo over stretch marks....But I find that stretch marks are quite often too big to just tattoo over, too much area, so I borrow a trick from the magicians hand book....When the magician says I have nothing up my sleeve and lifts his hand he is preparing the setup with the other hand...which you are not looking at...So if we tattoo over a part of the stretch marks, or even right beside them we are inviting the eyes to look at the artwork, not the marks....Hope this helps...

Some accept the ink, some push the ink out and some accepts the ink but the ink disperses everywhere* yes you can tattoo over scars. a friend of mine was a tattoo artist (he passed away) he had a woman come to him asking the same question he told her that it all depended on the person, some scars cane have more feelings and some can have less feelings, again it all depends on the person. she happened to have a raised scar from her back, over her shoulder and on to her chest and she hated it. so he tattooed a rose vine going around her right over her scar and it was the neatest thing i had ever seen. it was 3D very cool everyone complimented her on it.

A stretch mark is a scar. And almost always... Scars don't seem to like to take ink.
