Because the 60 GB is the best model for Backward Compatibility they are never cheap and are even worth more when needing repairs. GameStop sells reconditioned PS3 60 GB models for the same price as the 320 GB PS3 new condition Slim model
It should be noted that th 60GB model sold at almost a $250 loss to Sony even though the retail price was $600 in the USA when it was released in 2006.

∙ 14y agoIf you want to work for it the Sony rewards site will let you earn points towards the rewards catalog. While the price starts much higher it is possible to get a huge discount off the PS3 from earning reward points making it the cheapest. You get the answers to the questions from this site.
The next cheapest would be to find a used unwanted or a return at E Bay or a similar site and that may also include games and accessories.
