This is simply because HIV is not spread through saliva, but through other bodily fluids like blood and semen. Still, you should try to avoid getting spit in your eye.

∙ 15y agoHIV can be passed on by having unprotected sex (blood, semen, and vaginal fluids), sharing needles and by an infected mother breastfeeding her baby. I haven't heard of anyone getting HIV through feces, but I guess that is possible. Feces alone is nasty and full of harmful germs. My advice would be to be to ask a doctor or get tested.

I don't think so, because I don't meet any person who getting HIV through saliva in there eyes. Actually HIV can be spread direct blood-to-blood contact like unprotect vaginal or sex. I hope this answer will be helpful.
