Yes, it's definitely possible, no matter what anyone says. My midwife felt my little girl kick at 10 weeks, because she knew where to push down and what not. She's a strong little baby at 20 weeks right now but my boyfriend still hasn't felt it, but it can take a little time for a casual outsider to feel it.
Don't doubt yourself, if you think it's your baby, it probably is. :)

∙ 14y agono: You probably won't feel your baby kick until around week 16 and 22, even though the baby has been moving since week 7 or 8. You may have already witnessed these movements during an ultrasound. This is often felt as a fluttering feeling or a grasshopper walking across your belly during the first movements.

no, normally that is gas. the baby has started moving by now, and if you have an ultra sound you mak see it. you will probably feel the baby kick closer to 16-22 weeks; and possibly a litle before that or in that time period you may feel what is called quickening which is the baby moving but it feels more like fluttering. my friend described it as when you first get a goldfish and its in the bag and when you touch the bag you can feel the fish swimmming around. like butterflies someetimes. That is way too early to feel the baby move. You may be feeling extra gas, since you are pregnant. Or possibly the muscles stretching and moving. I dont think this is entirely true. yes no one else can feel the baby kick outside the womb till 4 months or so but I felt my baby moving around at 8 weeks along. I have had 3 pregnancy, 1 life birth and 2 miscarriages. so really it all depends on how many times you have been pregnant. if it is your first time more than likely you are only feeling extra gas or muscles adjusting to your new pregnancy body and baby. I think this is incorrect. Everyone feels their baby move at different times. I have been able to feel my baby move on the inside since 12 weeks and on the outside at 15 weeks because I am so thin and because of the position of the baby. Everyone's body is different, and honestly I would not take advice from other people, you know your body. So my answer is sure it is possible.

Im 9 weeks and my stomach feels hard as a rock - least to me - down where the baby is and if I press in on my stomach with my figer tips in the right place I can feel the lump where my baby is.

I am also 31 weeks. Congratulations! Our lamaze coach says that we should feel baby move at least 8 times in an hour. I don't really feel that unless I am lying down! So most of the day, when I am moving around I don't feel him much at all. Some days I feel him more than other days. I try not to panic when I don't feel him for a while.
