There are very few limitations on what a nursing mother can eat or drink. Pineapple Juice is yum, full of vitamins, will help you to keep up your fluid intake and is fine for mothers to drink. The only exception would be if there was a family history of pineapple allergy, where even if the mother does not suffer from the allergy it is best to avoid. If no such allergy, drink up and enjoy! However, babies should not be given pineapple juice, or any other citrus juice, directly until well after their first birthday because it is too acidic for their developing stomachs. Breastfeeding children can be given a little cooled boiled water with their meals once they start on solids after six months.
