State Compulsory Education Laws require students to attend school until they reach the age of 18. The law does contain an exception, which entitles a person to apply for a waiver to the specified age, cases are decided on an individual basis.

Sure, a lot of people do it. All you need to do is take extra classes and graduate early then you can go straight to college. In fact I know someone who started college in Missouri at 17. No problem. * No. Regardless of the required age for compulsory education the student needs permission from their parents or legal guardian to leave school before the age of 18.

Minnesota has mandatory education to the age of 16. In most cases they would allow them to leave school with parental permission. It doesn't make good sense for the parents or the child to drop out before they have the education to obtain even the most basic jobs.

Yes. * The legal age of majority for the state is 18. What, if any action would be taken if a 17-year-old arbitrarily moved from the family home would depend upon the minor's parents.

It depends on your state's laws. In many states the minimum age to drop out legally is 16, but this varies. Check with your state's board of education.

No, the age of majority is 18, not 17. Until then the parents are responsible for them.

If moving in with an adult and givin permission by the court would a 17 year old who has already gratuated high school need parental permission to move out?

The legal age of majority is typically 18 in most places, so a 17-year-old would generally still need parental permission to move out, even if they have already graduated high school. However, if the court has granted permission for the 17-year-old to live with another adult, this may override the need for parental consent in this specific situation. It's important to consult with a legal professional for guidance in this matter.
