Not that we know of! Fibromyalgia (or fibro as we fibromites refer to it!) as far as we know is caused by faulty communication between certain parts of the brain and the pain sensors in our bodies. As a result, we end up feeling just about every pain sensation there is, widespread through our bodies. Along with this is the constant fatigue. As far as we know life expectancy is not shortened from fibromyalgia. It's about pain and tiredness and other symptoms. The number 1 killer of people with Fibromyalgai is suicide.
