Netherland bunnies can eat the same foods as other pet rabbits. See the related questions below for info that apply to all pet rabbits (including Netherlands).

Zucchini, also known as courgette.

Yes, rabbits can eat zucchini, but only in moderation, as a treat.

Rabbits should eat mostly hay, plus some pellets, some fresh greens, and water. Any other foods (like fruits, or vegetables like carrot, squash, zucchini) should be considered a treat: a bite or two should be okay (assuming your rabbit is otherwise healthy).

As a general rule when introducing any new food item, test your rabbit with just a small amount. If it eats it, seems to like it, and has no apparent problems afterwards (mushy stool, gas, other signs of ill health), the ration can be slowly increased.

Please refer to the related question (below) for more details and helpful links about the rabbit diet.

More answers:

Most rabbits don't even like zucchini! But if yours does, make sure to restrict it as a treat. If your rabbit eats too many treats, they can suffer from all kinds of health problems (digestive and dental).

Rabbits absolutely adore zucchini blossoms! You can give zucchini blossoms (and some other flowers) to your rabbit as a treat.

Yes, Rabbits will eat courgettes and most any type of vegetable.

Yes, rabbits do eat zucchini, however it isn't especially good for them. If you have a pet rabbit that likes zucchini, make sure you limit how much it eats. Zucchini is an acceptable treat for rabbits, but too many treats can lead to many different kinds of illness in rabbits. A bite or two every few days should be fine for a normal, healthy rabbit. See the related question below about the proper rabbit diet.

First answer: No.

More info:

Wild Rabbits According to the websites about gardening below (see Related Links), wild rabbits do not usually eat zucchini plants.

Pet Rabbits Zucchini is safe for pet rabbits, but only as a treat. The main parts of a rabbit's diet are hay, dark leafy greens, and pellets. Other fruit and vegetables (like zucchini) are a fine treat: one or two bites is enough. Although people usually give their bunnies bites of the zucchini itself, the other plant parts are not listed on any of the major lists of known poisonous plants (see Related Links below), so it is probably safe for rabbits.

Neither corn nor zucchini should be regular parts of a rabbit diet. Rabbits should mostly eat lots of hay, with some fresh leafy greens and high-quality pellets daily, and water: any other foods (such as fruits and non-leafy green vegetables) should be considered treats and only offered to healthy rabbits in extreme moderation.

Zucchini and other squash are okay for rabbits as a treat (for example, for a healthy rabbit that otherwise eats a balanced diet, a small bite or two of zucchini every few days shouldn't cause any problems).

Corn -- Fresh corn is dangerous for rabbits because they can't digest the hulls, so eating fresh corn can lead to digestive impaction and life-threatening illness. Dried ground corn is okay for rabbits as an ingredient in pellets, but corn is high in sugar so it shouldn't be a main ingredient.

Yes, wild rabbits do eat zucchini and other vegetables, but it isn't a major part of their diet, it's like a treat to them. Mostly, wild rabbits eat grass, twigs, weeds, and dark leafy greens like lettuces, carrot tops, etc. Other vegetables, and fruits, are treats. People have offered zucchini to wild rabbits before and the rabbits have eaten the zucchini.

Rabbits may eat zucchini or squash, but it should be a limited food group. Also, it should be organic. Hay and pellets are a better choice for rabbit food.

Rabbits can have zucchini. You want to make sure that it is raw, not cooked, and that the peel is washed, or the zucchini is peeled, to rid it of bacteria.
