no, they have rules about when different uniforms are appropriate and are usually given a uniform of the day to wear. *its usually the same one and is not a guessing game as to what you will be wearing tomorrow, however sometimes on holidays or the first Friday of the month or every Friday ect they will be told to wear a more formal uniform than normal. Also sometimes they have the option of 1 or two or 3 different uniforms for example a pilot in the marine corps can usually choose to wear her/his cammies or flght suit on days she/he is not flying and a navy corpsman serving in a medical facility on a marine base can usually choose to wear cammies, or a variety of service uniforms.

*you will bever see more uniform variations than at a naval hospital or medical center
