∙ 12y agoDogs and other animals can actually hear things that are above and bellow our levels (or threshold) of hearing. They may hear sounds in the areas under our perceivable regions (sub levels), like in the case of a dog that barks when an earthquake is about to shake, and they can well hear things that are over our hearing range (infra levels), like that dog whistle that amuses you so much.
