You shouldn't be treated differently from any other employee as respects healthcare. Contact an attorney in your area to learn about your rights if you feel your coverage was cancelled without proper notice or if you have been treated differently from other employees.

∙ 13y agoEmployers are forbidden from harming employees BECAUSE of a WC claim. Employers are prohibited from punitively canceling the coverage of any member of a GROUP health plan it sponsors (but NOT prohibited from canceling the plan for every employee).
Even workers recovering from a broken leg from a work injury could come down with food poisoning, skin cancer, or the flu. WC will cover none of those - just the bum leg. The health insurance must stay in effect.
