Is it possible to get a linea nigra without being pregnant?

Every woman is different. There has been some cases as early as three weeks into pregnancy, as to some women never having a Linea Negra throughout their pregnancy. Linea Negra usually apperears during the second trimester, commonly around the fourth month. The Linea Negra has been puzzling the medical society for its true intention is not really known, but many say The line apperas due to higher hormonal levels and a lack of Folic Acid. Yes. Linea Negra can appear by a month or sooner. To note; Many women already have this faint line called the Linea Alba, so yes it's already there, although during pregnancy, it becomes darker as pregnancy progesses. Hope that helps...

To improve this answer, i am for a fact with personal evidence of my own, and experience say YES...you can have linea negra before the second trimester and earlier...i was pregnant with my second child when i even knew anything about the dark lining on the stomach or why its called linea negra...we had been planning to get pregnant and i was 21 yrs old...it took us 7 months when it happend...i didn't notice i was prenant until i missed the whole month of AUG for my period....so happy and excited for a fact this was a sign of me being pregnant...i went to the doctor to take a test...and the results came back positive...i didn't have any other knowledge until the the nurse said i was about a month or so pregnant...i rember asking her howd she know and she said...lift up your shirt, because my stomach wasn't that big..she then replied; your line is already beginning to pursue..up above my belly button there it was..a small dark brown smudge of a line...that became a second evidence for me to remember that i was pregnant.

my son is 6 yrs old now and i got pregnant recently......unfortunantly i had an early miscarriage..i was about 5 wks...i had the symptoms as i did with my first pregnancy...i craved chicken daily....and i grewtired easily...then my period was short in NOV....then i spotted at the end for a day...and in dec i missed my period....for 6 yrs i haven't felt any symptoms, and my line had been gone, and it disconnected from my belly button; meaning my line wasn't visiable or perceiding to my belly.....i looked atmy belly and that's when i noticed that the line had connected and it appeared the same small spark of a line above my belly button......i was sure then....a week later, i started having lower painful throbbing, numbs in my back...that didn't go away and lower penches in my pelvic area...i went to see the OBG and he noticed i stopped spotting and started bleeding heavly,,,but i had took a test and it was negative.....he gave me some pills to take and my periods stopped...then my symptoms....then in Jan iwas back on again, this time regular with no back pains.....except i started having stong stomach pains, i went to the bacthroom and had clotts...Suddenly, plop!!! a thick small sack came out it was slimemy, i was so shock i flushed before i can even realize it......my pains immediatly went away! SOMETHINGI NEVER EXPERIENCE BEFORE IN MY LIFE..AND WILL NEVER FORGET..i know i was pregnant or beginning to become ....because of the symptoms and the linea negra.

ALSO now my line is back to usual....its still connected.....however the small dark smuge that appeard above my belly button has dissapperd.....the miscarriage happend in Jan...the linea dissappeared in Feb.

Some people do as others don't get it until they are pregnant. This all depending on your genes if someone else in your family had it before they were pregnant. Usually during the course of your pregnancy it tends to get darker and a little more noticeable.

Yes you can because I do have itand I have never been pregnant and its very dark and ugly I just need to find out how to get rid of it .

Your English sucks, but don't worry linea nigra can exist for a ton of reasons other thn being pregnant
