How often is this person driving the vehicle, do they reside with you in the household? If you answers often and yes - and they are not on the policy, they should be a named driver in order to be covered.

What does it mean when someone is excluded from an auto insurance policy?

By excluding a person from an auto insurance policy, you are stating that the "excluded" person will not drive the insured vehicle, and that you understand that the "excluded" person is not covered by your insurance in the case of any traffic violation (accident, ticket, etc.). It means there is no coverage available to the excluded person in the case of an accident while driving the said vehicle. There will be NO COVERAGE.

If you have insurance on your car can someone else drive it?

It depends on the policy in the USA. In most European countries only named drivers can drive a car regardless of insurance policy - rental cars are the exception for obvious reasons.

Is it legal to drive a car that is not insured on your insurance?

It is illegal to drive a car that is not insured for at least third party cover (i.e. if you hit someone then they - but not you - will get paid out). Therefore if the car is not covered on an insurance policy that YOU have then to drive it you would need to be covered on someone else's insurance. Some people hold insurance policies that allow anyone (with permission from the owner) with a valid license to drive the car and in this case you would b covered on this policy - many company cars have this sort of policy. It is you DUTY to make sure that you/the car has as covering policy before you drive it and that you can PRODUCE this policy for the police should they require you to do so.

Can I have Auto insurance without a car?

Ask an insurance company for a "broadform" policy. That will cover you for any car you drive. Yes, although it's rather pointless. Why pay for insurance on something that you don't even have or own ... there is no need. If you drive someone else's car, you are covered under their insurance policy, provided you have their permission to drive it.

Can you be fined for driving someone else car if they do not have insurance?

not if you are personally insured to drive that vehicle on your own policy

If you have full coverage insurance and a person who is not on the policy gets into an accident what happens?

It depends on the policy provider but my Allstate Insurance covers licensed drivers who drive my vehicle with my permission. Mine also covers me when I drive an uninsured car.

If you dont have an automoble Can you put insurance on your drivers license?

No. Auto insurance is just that ... an insurance policy for the automobile, and those who ride in it or drive it. If you have the full permission to drive someone else's car, and they have the proper auto insurance in full effect, then you are covered under their policy. If you are going to be driving their vehicle most of the time, then they need to add your name to the policy.

Can you drive a car which has no insurance policy but you have a insurance policy on another car?

If two people are living together how can the person that owns the car and has insurance in their name get insurance for the other person to be able to drive their car?

If you give permission for someone to drive your car and they total it and are at fault should you file it through your insurance company or should you ask the driver to pay the damages?

Check your insurance policy. Most policies allow someone else to drive a car but certain coverages may be affected. Check your policy.
