Answer A

The rules, per Islamic religion, are that:

  • The Muslim man can marry only a Muslim, Christian (Catholic, Orthodox, or other denominations), or Jewish woman.
  • The Muslim woman (virgin, divorced, or widow) can marry only Muslim (or convert to Muslim) man.

You may say that love is over religion limitations. If you think so, then it is your choice. If you want to deny your religion obligations and requirements to legalize your marriage, then it is your choice. No compulsion in religion. However, choice is responsibility. If you deny you violate your religion obligations and requirements, you hold responsible of your choice and you hold responsible of the consequences of your choice on the Last Day of Judgment in front of God, the Creator.

Answer B: Another hint

It is not allowed for a kafir to marry a Muslim woman. Kafir - unbeliever, ungrateful or obliterater. A person who rejects Islamic faith.

"Under no conditions is a Muslim woman permitted to marry anyone but a Muslim man. The same verse cited above (2:221) mentions, "Nor marry your girls to unbelievers until they believe. A man slave who believes is better than an unbeliever..." No exception is given for women to marry Jews and Christians, so the law stands that she may only marry a believing (Muslim) man. As head of the household, the husband provides leadership for the family. A Muslim woman does not follow the leadership of someone who does not share her faith and values. "

It is not permissible for a Muslim woman to marry a kafir (non-Muslim), whether he is Jewish, Christian or an atheist because the man has authority over his wife, and it is not permissible for a kafir to have authority over a Muslim woman. There are decisive texts from the Qur'an which refer to the prohibition of such marriage. For example, Allah Almighty says:

"And give not (your daughters) in marriage to Al Mushrikun (atheists) till they believe (in Allah Alone)" (Al-Baqarah: 221)

"And never will Allah grant to the disbelievers a way (to triumph) over the believers" (An-Nisaa': 141)

"They are not lawful (wives) for the Unbelievers, nor are the (Unbelievers) lawful (husbands) for them" Quran 60:10

"And do not give your women in marriage to men who ascribe divinity to aught beside Allah." Quran 2:221

Answer 3: Comments on Answer 2

Per Islam teachings; not all non Muslims are Kafir or unbelievers as mentioned above. Christians and Jews are considered by Muslims; per Quran teachings; as people of the book as they are holders of The Bible and the Torah that are God holy books that Muslims believe in their divinity. That is why it is allowed for Muslim men to marry Muslim, Christian, or Jewish women. However, for Muslim women they are allowed to get married to only Muslim men. The reasons behind that is as follows:

In Islam practice, the husband prime responsibility is to cover the family expenses even if his wife works and even if she is earning more money than the husband. In addition, Muslims have faith in the holy books (including Torah and Bible), and in both religions of Judaism and Christianity, and all prophets (including Abraham, Moses, and Jesus) while Jews and Christians do not have faith in Islam, in Quran, and in prophet Mohamed. So, it is logic if husband is Muslim to accept for his Christian or Jewish wife to practice her ritual worships, social activities, and clothing according to her Christian or Jewish religion. However, if the husband is Christian or Jewish he may not accept his Muslim wife to practice her ritual worships, social activities, and clothing according to her Islam religion. That is why a Muslim man can marry a Christian or Jewish girl/woman while a Muslim girl can not marry a Christian or Jewish man.

Some others have the view point that any person of any faith can marry anyone they want and that love conquers all, even religion. However, this is true only if you are not committed to a religion with God or not believing in God at all. If you are committed with God through any religion, what so ever, you have to fulfill this commitment. This is in analogy to one committed with an employer through a work contract (despite the difference between commitment in contract with God, the Creator, and commitment in contract with an employer, creature). Does falling in love with someone entitle you not to go for work or not to fulfill your work commitment? The same answer applies to your commitment with God when you fall in love and thinking of marriage. On the other hand, of course you have full right and full choice to select either to fulfill religion commitment or to abandon the religion you committed to and throw it behind. However, choice is responsibility. You should be aware that your choice defines the consequences that you get in front of God on the Resurrection Day. Either one goes to God Paradise or one be Pushed in Hell fire.

You can't per Islam religion. It is not allowed for a Muslim man to date any woman (Muslim or non Muslim) without marriage according to Islamic rules. In Islam, any form of sex (oral sex or intercourse sex) is not allowed without marriage per religion.

You have free will to chose the religion that you believe in or to chose to convert from one religion to another or to chose to be of non religion. However, choice is responsibility. The consequences that get and face depends on the choice that you make. If you chose to be follower of any religion (Islam or any religion) you must adhere to this religion preachings. Otherwise, chose to be non religious and be responsible of your choice.

Even a Muslim cannot date a Muslim woman. Dating is not an Islamic trait. Any sex (oral or intercourse sex) should be between two partners who married per religion. Any kind of sex outside marriage is strictly forbidden and is sinful in Islam religion (and other religions also, to my information).

You can have a relationship with whomever you want, regardless of religion. Some people prefer to date people of their own religion, but if you don't care then it shouldn't matter. I know my Muslim friend's brother married a white girl, and their family was only okay with it if she converted to Islam. But really, it's up to you.

Islam does not allow a Muslim to marry anyone who is not a Muslim, Christian or Jew. It also strongly discourages a Muslim girl from marrying a Christian or Jewish man, but there is usually no problem for a Muslim man marrying a Christian or Jewish girl.

According to Sharia, the only way for a non-Muslim person who is not a Christian or Jew is for one or the other prospective partner to convert. However, I personally know at least one Muslim married to a Buddhist, and it appears that because of proximity, marriages between Hindus and Muslims are becoming more common.

In Britain, the Christian Muslim Forum (http://www.christianmuslimforum....) recognises the increasing frequency of interfaith marriages and recommends there be no forced conversion by either partner. The latest British statistics available are from the 2001 census that says there were:

  • 17,163 Christian women married to Muslim men
  • 4,233 Christian men married to Muslim women
