Beetroot has been known as a folk medicine for treating hypertension and increasing stamina. Its possible effects on diabetics are probably low, however it does have a very high level of natural sugar so diabetics would be advised to eat them in a more natural (as opposed to processed) way. Also ask nutritionalists, doctors, etc.
Also Wikipedia notes that several preliminary studies suggest beetroot, with its nutrient betaine, may protect against liver disease caused by Diabetes (among other causes).

Only in moderation perhaps. I drink it with carrot and other juices as a diabetic and diluted! I add lemon juice to regulate my glucose. Ginger and cinnamon added to it would be a good idea. When I measured my glucose the next day after a Pizza meal and such a mixed juice, my glucose reading was 4.6. Diabetics can eat fruit and veg high in sugars - only in moderation though.
We are all individuals and therefore my suggestions are tentative.
YES.
because it contains natural sugars most fruit does, even though fruit is healthy for you it is best if you are diabetic to stick to less sweet fruit and have more bitter fruit.
it may not have a major affect on your BP if you are diabetic but it still will have an affect so stick to sour bitter fruits and veg (bitter-melon is excellent for diabetics and bitter-melon juice is beneficial for you)
i think they can.starchy foods should be replaced with carrot and beatroot
Beets (sugar beets) are very low in any redeeming food value. They are not as good a choice as many other vegetables.
