No! They are just as kind and gentle as regular people - in fact they ARE regular people. There is certainly no specific DS characteristic for 'harmful' behaviour.

The question itself is a bit silly. Can ANY child be harmful? Of course they can, especially when they are brought up by parents who are 'harmful' or disfunctional.

However, I would suggest that parents who a caring and stable enough to raise a disabled child are rarely 'harmful' people, so DS chaildren are rarely harmful, but tend to be loving and caring. That is my experience.

They aren't as smart as normal people, and MAY have trouble recognising context. So things that may be acceptable in one place (hugging Mum & Dad for example) may be inappropriately applied in another (hugging people they meet).
