Yes, for most jobs. For some things, like working in factories or construction sites, you have to be a bit older.
Legally, nowhere. You have to be at least 15 years old to apply for employment legally in Ontario.
Legally you need to be 14 at least to work in Ontario.
Mc donalds (some fast food places), grocery stores...you typically need to be 16 to have a 'real' part-time summer job. But, you can work as a Counsellor in Training (CIT) at summer day camps with Markham Recreation. This will help you get jobs as a counsellor when you're 16. Good luck!
No way. Starting at the age of 14 you can work and be legally paid by official buisnesses. How old were you when you got paid for chores? It is 100% legal.
Legally, No!
Ontario was founded in 1867, before that it was Canada.
the year that Henry ford sent out cars to Ontario, Canadaotherwise, 1938
No, a fourteen year old cannot move out. Until they are adults, the parents remain responsible for the child. So the youth must live where the parents specifiy until they reach 18.
technically probably not legally but if its better than what life is like for you now then go for it.
Not until you legally turn 18.
1867
The issue is a complex one because the 'Dunkin Act' of 1864, and later Canada Temperance Act of 1878, allowed for municipalities to hold referendums and prohibit the local sale of liquor (although liquor could still legally be mail-ordered or prescribed by doctors). In Ontario, the Ontario Temperance Act of 1916 enacted prohibition as of that year and an Order in Council by the Government of Canada made the manufacture of spirits anywhere in the Dominion illegal in March 1918 (however this only lasted twenty-one months, ending in December 1919). For the peoples of the First Nations and those legally labeled as "Indians" they were barred from alcohol under various legislation -- but again an exact date for the start of prohibition for all of Ontario is difficult to obtain.
