it's useable put it's being repaired on monday i was just wondering should i continue to use it till then since not all the screen is dead or will using it cause more damage
Yes. ;) Yes. ;)
Yes, all laptop computers are built with LCD screens (as well as many flatscreen televisions).
No. Use an external monitor, like what you find with desktop pc's
In britain, there is a product to clean LCD screen's and Keyboards. it is a pair of alcohol-based spray bottles with cloths. Only use LCD cleaners on LCD Monitors as other cleaners CAN damage your monitor.
Isopropyl alcohol is safe to use to clean your LCD screen or laptop monitor. The alcohol should be mixed with distilled water in order to use it for cleaning your screen.
LCD
Any other type of screen would bee too large, LCD screens allow for slim laptops, which is better, no?No, actually. It uses LCD because it uses less heat and energy. Since laptops are so small they do not have proper fans to air them out so they don't over heat, if they did they would be useless. LCD screens are efficient to laptops because they do not create as much heat, therefore saves the laptop. You could easily use a classic glass screen for a laptop, but the LCD is much more practical.
No much of the difference, It all depends on the LCD panel that the manufacturer decides to use. Just like there are all different laptop keyboard designs or all different laptop casing designs. One is meant to be wide screen the other is meant to copy a desktop monitor. No real difference!
"Cleaning a touchscreen laptop is difficult because you need to be sure not to make any scratches. They sell special microfiber cloths that are guaranteed not to scratch the surface, and you can wipe the screen down with these and a little windex if the screen is very dirty."
LCD are usually better and plasma screens use more energy and are bigger.
Unlike the CRT monitor, LCD doesn't use as much power. So, the battery of the laptop is enough to power its LCD monitor. There is a power supply cables within the laptops. That cables carry the power from the battery to its LCD monitor and other power needed devices. It is the simplest answer of how is the LCD on the laptop powered?
They don't
