The answer is alway yes! However Mustangs have been around and the best results depend upon what year model and hub cap style you have. Aluminum paint will not give you the factory appearance of any metal or plastic that was originally chrome plated. From a distance it will be pleasing to the eye and last awhile if the surface is properly prepared for the paint. This can be acheived at different levels, always ending with a clean dry surface. Paint adheres best if there is a "scuff" as well, which could be from a scouring pad, sandpaper, or sand blasting which is probably best. You have to be careful to mask off any area you don't want scuffed and any area you don't want painted. Chrome plating will cause another obstacle, especially if it is cracked and chipped. I would suggest looking into chrome plating if a really nice finish is desired. I have some '67 caps that need the plastic centers repainted and chromed but have not looked into it yet.
I would say Hidalgo is a Mustang Paint Horse.

Most likely not. Rain is thought to be a pinto mustang or Indian pony mare.
Mustangs are still horses but they are wild they are kind of like the dogs at pounds and rescues you might never know what kind of breeds are mixed in with them you could guess but you will probaly never know the spesifics. Take my horse for an exemple! we got her at an auction, but she was from a rescue in the West we think she is Morgan/mustang cross meaning a Morgan horse and a mustang meaning possibly all kinds of different breeds.
Another paint horse.
Rain is considered a paint mare in the movie. Because paint is a breed, if she was a pinto, that would just be her markings, she would have to have a breed, like mustang. Actually a Paint horse is just a horse type not the actual breed itself. They don't say what breed Rain is just her coat type. Only the breed of Spirit and his herd is mentioned.

It's a paint horse. A black and white paint horse.
It would simply be a paint/ mustang cross. There's no special name for it that I know of. Well I am answering this about howrse.com the answer depends on the genetics of your mare. If you mare is 50 percent paint and 50 percent mustang or something else, who knows what the foal could be. If your mare is more something else or has an amount of mustang in her, the chances are you will get a mustang.
