Now from the top nav-menu click on "Tools". A Folder Options box should appear. Click on the "View" tab. Now scroll down until you find an option that reads "Hide extensions for known file types" and put a check-mark in that box. Now "Apply" and "Ok", and now it should hide the known file extensions.
