"First Response" Pregnancy Test claims to be able to detect the pregnancy hormone one day after a missed period. If it is important that you know you can certainly take the test. 18 years ago I had a positive test the day after a missed period and tests are even more sensitive now.

There are several things that can contribute to a negative pregnancy test even if you are pregnant. Some medications can give you a false negative, the timing of the test can affect the results. If you did not follow directions properly; if you let the test sit for too long the results may read negative after a while. It is important to read the results within the amount of time given on the instructions of that particular pregnancy test you bought. If you did not perform the test properly (example: you drank a lot of fluids before taking the test, which can dilute your urine). Etc To ensure the best results: Take the test in the morning, if possible, because your hCG (pregnancy hormone) levels are at it's highest Don't drink a bunch of fluids before taking the test because it will dilute your urine and can affect the results Take the test no more than 1 day before expected period. Although some test say that you can see results up to 5 days before your missed period, the percentage of accuracy is very low. urinate for as long as possible on the foam-like strip Check the results in the window frame of time suggested by the instructions of the pregnancy test.

Medical tests are never 100% certain. They can give a false positive, and a false negative result. You are asking about the possibility of a falsely negative result from a pregnancy test. These tests provide less certain results, the earlier in a pregnancy that they are taken. A sensible insurance is a retest. Yes. Usually you are suppose to take a pregnancy tests as soon as you miss your period.

Yes you can still be pregnant. Go and see a doctor, take eventually a blood test. It depends if you used any Birth Control pills/rubbers at all. if you had unprotected sex, then you definitely are. Typically you are to wait 14 days after a missed period before taking the test. And the best of those tests is not going to detect anything before 7 to 9 days, at best.

The four tests you took wouldn't have shown positive even if you are actually pregnant. If you've any left, test again at day 14.
