That is a great question!!!! Pyrex used to be a form of borosilicate glass which was and still is prized for its inert properties. Meaning it doesn't contaminate other chemicals or be contaminated easily . I guess the question is can you get it cleaned out of the toxic substance? The other problem is Pyrex brand kitchenware hasent been made of true pyrex for some time and is not as inert as it once was. Is it pre or post pyrex pyrex? Its hard to tell.
