It tends to be those who have a slimmer frame who have the visible evidence of situps, if you are larger then the muscle will simply develop under the fat, so it's always a good idea to include cardio whenever doing sit ups.

Situps can give you a bad neck and back as to muck strain is put on your lower back when you raise yourself. Crunches are better as they give you abs quicker and as you don't go the whole way up there is only strain on your abdomen not your back

yes, sit ups foucus on the stomach muscles.We learned this in health and science last week.But sit ups mainly foucus on lower abs. So try a variety of work outs.
