All rocks are normally stable under a specific range of temperature and Temperature.If you subject them to P,T conditions different from that was prevailing during their formation, they will undergo a process of transformation called Metarmophism(Dynamic,Regional,Contact).New rocks are also produced when sedimentary and igneous rocks are exposed to Weathering processes.Just a few examples.

GRANITE.......Regional metarmophism.........turns into......GRANITIC GNEISS

LIMESTONE...Contact metarmophism..........turns into......MARBLE

K-FELDSPAR..Weathering processes....produces...KAOLINITE,an some SILIIC ACID (though in this Kaolinite is not a rock but a clay mineral)

No. Igneous rocks are formed when magma or lava cools and solidifies. Sedimentary rock is formed in several ways, neither of which involves magma or lava.
