Only questions that are potentially harmful (e.g. contain a full name of a non-celebrity, telephone number etc.) or are very unlikely to be asked again (such a repeatedly using SPAM words in the question title) are deleted. Questions that are inappropriate for the site but may be asked again are placed into a Catch-All Category. Why are questions about Islam deleted?
Questions about Islam are not deleted on WikiAnswers unless they are deemed inappropriate. If you believe you asked a question that should not of been deleted it is advised you email: goodquestion@wikianswers.com to appeal the deletion.
Why doesn't WikiAnswers block inappropriate questions?
WikiAnswers doesn't 'block' inappropriate questions, but rather stores them so no one can answer an inappropriate question that has already been asked. It is called a 'Catch-All', and it stores all of the inappropriate questions so when a user types in an inappropriate question that has already been asked and merged into that Catch-All, they will get an answer telling them that inappropriate questions are not allowed on WikiAnswers. In a way, WikiAnswers does 'block' inappropriate questions.

When asking a question the disclaimer below where you submit your question onto the site says "Questions become part of the permanent, collaborative WikiAnswers database." You should not be asking inappropriate or personal questions because that violates the site's Terms of Use, but if you do accidentally or you run across a question that should not be on the site then you will need to report it to one of the WikiAnswers supervisors who will deal with the question for you. Inappropriate questions can be trashed which hides them from view of users on the site, but only questions that contain personal information are allowed to actually be permanently deleted.
