For nighttime entertainment, you should visit the Malecon, Santo Domingo where you will find varying activities and attractions along the beautiful seaside boulevard. The food and drinks in Santo Domingo is influenced by the Spanish customs as well as locally produced items. Sampling the national dish, called “la bandera’ or the flag, is recommended. Other national meals include baked vegetable cake and soup with meat and vegetables and there are also international cuisines available.
