No. Violin strings are much thinner and shorter. They have to be because the violin is smaller. Because of this they make completely different sounds. Also, there are six strings on a guitar and only four on a violin.
Absolutely NOT! The thickness of the strings and the tension to get the correct pitch do not allow for interchangeability. Although I have seen many instruments in auctions, yard sales and flea markets with every messed up thing you could possibly imagine!
Absolutely not. While the first four strings on a guitar are tuned to the same notes on a Bass Guitar (E, A, D, and G), the bass guitar is tuned an octave lower, and requires a thicker gauge of strings. Interchanging the strings at pitch is not ideal, if not impossible. Furthermore, their sounds are very distinct from each other.
put simply. no. at least not the way you finger them on the neck. but the composition of chords musically speaking, yes.
The notes that compose a chord, in terms of key, etc., remain constant regardless of the instrument. But in terms of the pattern on the strings, violin and guitar are vastly different. There are more notes between one string and the next on a violin or viola than there are on a guitar.
The intervals on the four thickest guitar strings are the same as the intervals on a bass. The interval between strings has an extra whole step for the violin or viola.
no. violin has 4 strings (left to right):G, D, A, E and the guitar has 6 strings (i dont know the names)
Yes, but they don't play their chords like you would play on a guitar. :)
No. Ukelele have a set of strings all their own G,C,E,A.
G string.
A normal Acoustic/Electric guitar has 6 strings, and a normal bass guitar has 4 strings. There are also guitars with more strings, i.e. a bass guitar with 5 strings.
Yes, as far as the top 4 strings on a guitar go, is the same for a bass. EAD and G 5 string adds the b string., youβre in the neighborhood, especially if you already have knowledge of the guitar.
When one purchases an Epiphone bass guitar, it should have the necessary strings. If the guitar needs new strings, it is best to have a professional replace the strings or follow the manual received when the guitar was purchased.
The double bass is much like the string bass, but it is also known as an upright bass, and commonly used in symphonies. It can be played with fingers, (pizzicato) but is usually played with a bow, like a violin. It looks like a big violin, and is played with the bottom of it, (opposite of where you tune the strings) at your feet, and the top around where your head is, while you are sitting down.
The ukulele is tuned differently then the bass. The baritone ukulele is tuned like the bottom 4 strings of a normal guitar.
the strings on a base guitar are the same as the top four strings on a guitar which are E A D G
yes.
Bass guitar strings are tuned to the same notes as the thickest four strings of an electric guitar, but they are tuned one octave lower. So, the same notes, but one octave "deeper".
A normal Acoustic/Electric guitar has 6 strings, and a normal bass guitar has 4 strings. There are also guitars with more strings, i.e. a bass guitar with 5 strings.
a normal guitar has 6 strings a bass guitar has 4 or 5 strings and plays much deeper
Guitar and bass are very similar. They both have a similar build and use basically the same overall technique, with many nuance differences. The guitar has six strings, and the bass has four. The four strings on a bass are the same as the four lowest sounding strings on a guitar. The biggest differences between the two are that the guitar uses chords and scales, whereas the bass uses mostly just scales, and the guitar has two more strings than a bass. Since the guitar uses chords and has two more strings, it is a little bit trickier to learn than the bass. Therefor, if you know guitar fairly well, you should be able to play bass without ever taking a lesson, whereas if you know bass fairly well, it will be a little bit more effort to learn the guitar.
