AK-47's are not illegal in the US. In fact, I myself own one. Youhave two basic categories when dealing with AK-47's: Fullyautomatic, and semi automatic. The semi automatic ve…rsion istreated like any other semi auto rifle, and is legal to purchaseand own, although some states or cities may have bans on them forcertain reasons. The fully automatic version can also be purchased and ownedprivately, but you have to jump through a few hoops for it. Youmust pay a $200 tax stamp, and then wait for BATF (Bureau ofAlcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms) to approve you.
It all depends on the country that you live in.. how about in California. California has banned all assault weapons that have full auto. However ones that do not have full a…uto and require a release eject device to remove the bullet clip ( you can't just push a release button to drop the clip out any more) are currently being sold. So I must assume that these modified AK-47 are legal in California. Recently I have seen several at California gun shows.
It has to have a small clip (less than 30) and cannot be automatic unless you jump throught the VERY regulated hoops to get a automatic firearms license.
Yes it is. Whoever answered this obviously did no research, because this is simply not true. AK-47's are in fact legal to own in the US.
Ak 47's are illegal in most countries. You can legally own a ak 47 in the United States if you owned in before the Gun Ban went thru.
depending on the circumstances, the answer can be yes or no.

Robins are protected by the Migratory Birds Treaty Act of 1918, so it is illegal to shoot robins in the nations which have agreed to the treaty. Those nations are the United S…tates, Canada, Mexico, Japan, and Russia. Since South Dakota is part of the United States, the treaty applies to South Dakota, thus making it illegal to shoot a robin in South Dakota. The Migratory Birds Treaty Act was one of the first environmental laws and was designed for the protection of migratory birds. The treaty was enacted in a time when many bird species were threatened by the commercial trade in birds and bird feathers.
