No you can't remove the base. Most of the electronics are located in the base.

I pushed the wrong button on my TV and it is now locked - can you tell me how to fix it or what is the unlock code?
No one. The characters were never based off of anyone real and were never intended to be.

This Television is a rear projection CRT display. Front projection uses a self contained "Projector" usually hanging from the ceiling and shoots the image onto a fabric scr…een or wall. The projector in the RCA HD52W59 is actually inside the base of the unit and the projected image is bounced off of a mirror and onto the back of the screen There are many types or Rear Projection displays: CRT, LCD, DLP, LED and Laser.
Lay the tv face down. There are six small screws in the back of the tv that need removing. Once removed, the base will pull out.
If you have to, you should be able to get a hack saw blade between the tank and the base and cut the bolt.
Virtually all televisions today have a removable base. Most bases use a non-standard mounting system so you will need to read the manual to confirm the removal method. Simila…rly, virtually all have a "VESA" standard mount on the rear of the case to allow a wall mount to be fitted. There are several different sizes of VESA mount so it is important that you read the manual to find out which size is needed. The VESA standard mounting system uses 4 screws in a square shape so it is easy to recognize in the rear of the television.
