If you've recently had the battery disconnected for any reason, it takes my 2002 Chrysler Sebring LXI about 30 miles of travel to reset. It bucks and jumps until I've gone about 25-30 miles of travel and then it smooths back out. This had happened everytime I've had the battery disconnected for repair work or change of battery.

The dealer may have some new software for the transmission to correct that harsh downshift.
